Essay Topics - Proven Answer To Whether Or Not You Should Write RebuttalsDuring my course, Writing Essays and Responses, I usually teach on four essay topics: Free Speech, Sexual Assault, Masculinity and Gender and Truth. Today, I'm going to share with you the proven answer to whether or not you should write rebuttals.
First off, I have some news for you about Free Speech. You will never win an argument for free speech when you write a rebuttal. Not one single time. Of course, people will say you're wrong and that your stance is incorrect, but if they can prove that point, they won't be able to pull off that lie. So you see, as far as writing a rebuttal about Free Speech, it is the worst possible topic to write about. It's so bad that when I tell students that I'm going to teach about Free Speech, they all cringe. But why? Why is that? Well, let me explain. When you write a rebuttal about Free Speech, you are letting people know what exactly you think about them. And I don't mean just those topics mentioned above. If you say 'I'm against violence, therefore I believe that any speech advocating violence is incorrect,' that means you believe that anything and everything to do with violence is wrong. Because, if you're actually against violence, you're obviously against speech that advocates violence. You could care less about Free Speech. If you're right, then you must be wrong. That's all you need to know about this topic. Okay, next we'll talk about rebuttals in essays about sexual assault. This is a topic I'm passionate about and I've taught this topic since the very first class. For those of you who haven't taken the time to learn about it, sexual assault is a topic where many people debate, argue and discuss to try and find a consensus, but ultimately no one is able to agree on what constitutes the best way to handle this topic. And this is where people have become more passionate about and now people are arguing more about this topic. Because even though there are different views, no one has actually been able to come up with the best solution and everyone is still trying to figure out how to deal with this topic. So when I teach students about essays about Free Speech, Sexual Assault and Truth, I always tell them that I will give them the answers that they're looking for. What I want them to realize is that I already know what the best solution is for this topic. And that's just going back to the fact that everyone has their own opinions, but I don't want you to decide what's right and wrong because if you do, you'll be in a huge argument, which is not good for anyone.
